Cubs for Kids provides the bear cub, pattern for the sweater, hat and scarf. Knitters provide their creativity and extra yarn. Completed outfits are then collected throughout the year. In early December, the bear cubs are dressed, gift wrapped, and donated to children ages three to six in homeless shelters in various cities across the country.
Our funding comes from a foundation and corporation who provide the money to purchase and ship the bear cubs. Our knitters provide us with the knitted clothing for the cubs.
